Intimate Wedding Ceremony at the Henry Moore Foundation.

I was thrilled to be contacted by D + K for their upcoming nuptials at the beautiful Henry Moore Foundation, in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. Art was by far my favourite subject at school, and being local to the venue, I’ve been to Moore’s home and gardens a few times. To be asked to photograph a wedding here is a bit of a dream come true!

D + K chose their wedding date as it was the 40th anniversary of them being together, and their ceremony was perfectly intimate, with a handful of their closest people by their sides to support their lifetime of love. Everything about their day was beautifully classy and elegantly understated. K pulled off a gorgeous 3 piece suit on the hottest day of the year, D’s dress was the most chic fitted, lace-back gown, and her choice of flowers all had thoughtful reasoning behind them.

Relationships like these, that weather the seasons of life, are incredibly humbling to encounter, and it was an honour to be invited into their world for a few hours, to witness their beautiful and solid love for each other.

The day finished with a delicious afternoon tea, shared with their guests, overlooking the grand bronze statues I’d just been photographing them under.
